Bio.


Lindsay Joelle writes big-hearted comedies about the collision of worldviews. Published plays include TRAYF (LA Drama Critics Circle nomination for best writing, Geffen Playhouse, Theater J, etc.) and THE GARBOLOGISTS (Philadelphia Theatre Company, City Theatre, Northlight Theatre, etc.) Lindsay is the recipient of the Goldberg Award for Graduate Playwriting, Desert Theater League Award for Best Original Writing, and commissions from E.S.T./Sloan Foundation and Audible's Emerging Playwrights Fund. She is a proud National New Play Network, Playwrights Foundation, and New Georges affiliated artist; former Playwright-in-Residence at Curious Theatre; alumna of Nashville Rep’s Ingram New Works Lab, Florida Rep's PlayLab, PlayPenn, Great Plains Theatre Conference, the BMI Musical Theater Workshop, Columbia University (BA), and Hunter College (MFA). Lindsay was recently featured in American Theatre’s “Role Call: People to Watch” and received a 2026 Artist Grant from the Arts Foundation of Tucson and Southern Arizona for her new play Mud & Fire: The Pottery Play.
