A SMALL HISTORY OF AMAL BY AMAL, AGE 7
|
(3F, 3M, 80 min.) For Amal, a seven-year-old boy in a public hospital in India, one day is the adventure of a lifetime. Whether a Sikh food service worker with dreams of Bollywood, a Hindu nurse with a penchant for writing letters, or a Muslim girl-genius fascinated by the macabre, Amal makes friends everywhere. But when Mumbai's railways fall victim to a terrorist attack and the hospital struggles beyond capacity to treat the survivors, Amal gets lost in the shuffle. Now, it’ll take an explorer’s heart and a little Bollywood magic to defeat the god of death.
